Welcome to my studio website! The piano and bassoon studio of Gwyn Downey offers private music lessons to school age children located in her home studio in Elgin, Illinois.As a member of ISMTA, Illinois State Music Teachers Association, piano students can participate in the Achievement in Music program (AIM). This is a 12-level program where students study and are tested in theory, sight reading, aural skills, technique and performing 2-3 solos by memory. Other performance opportunities include annual piano recital and American Grands.
